Bald Eagles of Alaska & British Columbia
Bald eagles in flight, at rest, and in dramatic pursuit — captured across the wilderness of Alaska and British Columbia. From full-wingspan soaring over glacial rivers to intimate portraits revealing the intensity in a raptor's gaze, this collection spans 15 years of fieldwork in North America's last great eagle habitat.
Bald eagles concentrate along the salmon rivers of Southeast Alaska and coastal British Columbia in numbers that are difficult to believe until you stand in them. This collection is the result of repeat trips to that habitat over fifteen years — waiting out weather, working from riverbank and boat, and shooting long glass at the edge of what the light allows.
Eagle images work at scale. These files are made at the full resolution of the Nikon D850, which means a forty-by-sixty inch metal print still holds the individual feather detail in a wingtip. Available as limited edition large format prints for collectors, lodges, offices, and mountain and lake homes.
